What do we do with your information?

Less than you would expect, and none of it is health information.

This page is written to be read, not to be survived. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will answer in a sentence.

Effective date: September 1, 2026  ·  Applies to: savewithbenefits.com and every page on it, including our landing pages, forms and email communications.

Who is responsible for your information?

Save with Benefits is the business responsible for the information described here. We provide cost savings and benefits consulting to employers in all 50 states. Any insured products referenced are marketed and offered through licensed agents in states where licensed.

Our service is directed at businesses and the people who run them, not at consumers.

What information do you collect?

Only what we need to answer your question, and it depends on how you reached us.

Identifiers. Name, business email, business phone, company name, job title, and who referred you.

Commercial and business information. Headcount, how your plan is funded, renewal date, current carrier or broker where you tell us, and what you are trying to solve.

Financial and operational records you send us. A de-identified payroll census, an accounts payable statement, or a general ledger export. Employees are numbers in these files, not names.

Internet and device activity. Pages viewed, referring source, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type.

Communications. Emails you send us and notes from calls.

We collect this from you directly, from your use of the site, and occasionally from a partner or advisor who introduced us with your knowledge.

Do you ever collect health information?

No. Never.

We do not ask for, receive, or store protected health information. No diagnoses, no claims detail tied to a named person, no medical records, no prescription histories, no biometric or genetic data.

The analysis that produces your savings number does not require it. That is a design choice, and it is why the process takes a two-minute export instead of a legal review.

We also do not intentionally collect other categories that privacy laws treat as sensitive, including Social Security numbers, financial account credentials, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, union membership, or sexual orientation.

If a file you send us happens to contain personal or health information we did not ask for, tell us and we will delete it.

Why do you collect it?

To do the thing you asked us to do.

To model your savings. Your spend data tells us which programs fit and what they are worth.

To reach you back. Your contact details let us send the analysis and schedule the call.

To deliver a program, if you decide to move forward.

To improve what we publish. Aggregated, de-identified engagement results inform our benchmarks. No client is ever named.

To run and secure our business, and to meet tax, accounting and legal record-keeping obligations.

Do you sell or share my data?

No.

We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, which is how California law defines “sharing.” We do not sell contact lists. We have never done it and it is not a line of business we want.

Who do you disclose it to?

Program partners, only with your go-ahead. If you decide to move forward, we disclose what a partner needs to price and deliver your program.

Your own advisors, if you ask us to. We will happily bring your broker, CFO or counsel into the analysis. That is your call, not ours.

Service providers that run our business. Website and course hosting, email delivery, calendar scheduling, cookie consent, and web analytics. They process data on our behalf under contract and cannot use it for their own purposes.

Legal and business transfers. Where the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. We would tell you if that happened, unless we were legally barred from doing so.

What about cookies and tracking?

Our banner asks before setting anything non-essential, and your choice is respected.

Essential cookies keep the site working. These cannot be turned off.

Analytics cookies tell us which pages people read. Decline these and nothing about your visit breaks.

You can also clear or block cookies in your browser at any time.

How long do you keep it?

As long as we need it for the purpose we collected it.

Client records are kept for the life of the engagement plus the period our tax, accounting and legal obligations require.

Contact details for prospects are kept until you ask us to remove them, or until they go stale.

Web analytics are kept in aggregate and are not tied back to you.

What are my rights?

You can ask us for any of the following, and we will do it. No fee, no hoops.

Correct. Fix anything inaccurate.

Delete. Remove your information, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Portability. Receive your data in a usable, portable format.

Opt out. Of marketing email, at any time, from any message or by telling us.

Object or restrict. Tell us to stop processing your information for a given purpose.

Limit use of sensitive information. We do not collect it, so there is nothing to limit.

Which of these are legal rights where I live?

Depending on your state, some of the above are enforceable rights rather than courtesies. We extend all of them to everyone, so you do not have to check.

California. The CCPA as amended by the CPRA gives residents the right to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, and limit use of sensitive personal information, plus the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined.

Other states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland and others as they take effect, provide comparable rights.

EU and UK visitors. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our lawful bases are your consent, the performance of a contract, and our legitimate interests in operating and marketing a business service. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

How do I exercise a right?

Reach us through our contact page and say what you want. We will verify your identity in a way proportionate to the request, usually by confirming the email address we already hold, and respond within the period the applicable law requires. Where none applies, we aim for 30 days.

You may use an authorized agent. We will ask for proof that you gave them permission.

Exercising any of these will never affect the price you pay or the service you get.

How is it protected?

Files move over encrypted connections and are stored with access limited to the people working on your engagement.

No system is perfect, and anyone who claims otherwise is selling something. If a breach ever affected your information, we would notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires, and tell you what we were doing about it.

Do you collect information from children?

No. This is a business-to-business service and it is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we learned we had, we would delete it.

Where is my information stored?

In the United States. If you contact us from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed here, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

This site links to scheduling tools, partner sites and published research. Once you leave, their privacy practices govern, not ours. We would encourage you to read theirs too.

What if this policy changes?

We will post the updated version here with a new effective date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will tell you directly rather than hoping you notice.

Who do I contact?

A person, not a ticket queue.

Reach us through our contact page and it goes straight to the team.

Still have a question about your data?

Ask before you send us anything. We would rather answer it now than have you wonder.
